Skye had always known she was different, strange things had been happening to her at school that made the other kids scared of her. Sometimes, if she focused hard on something, for example, a test, that thing would start to move without her doing anything. Other times, if she was very sad or frustrated, the people she was mad at would suddenly grow hair or turn a different color. It would always fix itself eventually, but these sort of things made Skye an easy target for jokes and bullies.
However, when Skye learned that she was a witch who could do magic, she was thrilled. Finally, there was an answer to all the strange happenings at school! When Skye first visited Diagon Alley and got her first taste of the magical world, she was instantly excited. She boarded the Hogwarts Express a few days later and met people just like her.
