Meetings "Look!" I pointed. A boy with a rather fluffy looking owl was walking with his parents. His hair appeared as if he had just gotten out of bed and he didn't even bother to set a comb through it. Actually, from the impression he was giving me, I couldn't help but think that he might not own a comb at all. Silver rimmed glasses were perched on his nose and he had a smile that could easily brighten up all of London... |

Day One "I heard James mutter something about DADA and Potions being the worst things ever created. This made me worry, and I wondered where he got the idea. The textbooks seemed incredibly fascinating." -- Yep. It's my first day at Hogwarts. |

Daniel and Remus "NO!" I screamed, waking up, shaking, and sobbing. Daniel was dead. Again. And this time it was even worse -- I didn't even see what happened. There was no way I could've saved him. |

Vacation "You know James, I thought you had more sense. I'm the responsible one of the group and you give me..." Remus squinted his eyes to read a label. "'Fart bombs for all purposes.' James, I don't want people to think I -- er -- let one off." |

Confession "You know exactly who I'm talking about," James said seriously. The shadow from the morning sun made him look unusually eerie. "She's the girl you are at heart, and the girl you love to be. The girl who loves to talk and laugh. The girl who loves to wear bright colors - not just black - and isn't afraid to sing her heart out to her friends. I can see glimpses of her in you when you laugh. Let her loose." James got up and gave me a soft smile. "She's waiting to be freed." |

Year Two "Lily? Are you okay?" Remus leaned in and looked at me. "Why are you eyes different colors? Why are they grey?" Realization dawned on him. He wasn't brilliant for nothing. "Oh my God. No. No way. No. Are you--? No. You can't be. They're so rare it's like finding a purple sunflower." He knows what I am. |

Years Three Through Six "Lily," Potter said pleasantly, leaning down so that his nose just about touched mine. "Don't you understand? I don't want to go to Hogsmeade with anyone else. I don't want anyone else, period. I want you." With that he kissed me gently on the forehead, tucked a strand of my hair behind my ear, and walked away with a smirk, leaving me struck. |

Hogsmeade "What do you want, Potter?" // "James," he corrected instantly. // "Potter," I repeated again, trying to get the message through his thick skull. We repeated that routine so many times I'm surprised he never got it! // Potter looked left and right, as if to catch eavsedroppers, then whispered quickly, "I need you to help me create the perfect date for a girl." |

Push Becomes Shove Lily: It was in that moment that I had decided that if my heart was to be broken -- truly broken and shattered into a million pieces, there was only one person who I would give that opportunity to. And that was James. |

I actually didn't hate James at first. Really. He was nice to me - he was the first person I knew from the wizard world. In our first year, he actually kind of grew on me. But little did I know that that would change soon enough. A story following Lily Evans and the Marauders through their years at Hogwarts. Please review! (Mature due to mild/strong language in future chapters)
