Ch. # Chapter Title Word Count Reviews
1 The Beginning

”Delia, is it?”

“Call me Dee, please.”

“Alright then, Dee. I’m Fred Weasley.”

She shook his hand and turned to the identical boy on her right.

“And I’m George Weasley.”

She shook his hand as well, and looked back and forth between the boys. “Oh dear. How on earth am I to tell you boys apart?”

2 Back Home

“One of these days…I’m going…to beat….you both.” She gasped between breaths. “Oh, I seriously doubt that.” ”We’re pros.” They hi-5ed each other. If Dee hadn’t been so out of breath, she would have pummeled them into the ground, but instead she just sighed and laughed. “Oh, I missed you boys.” They smiled. “We missed you, too.”

3 The Joys of Friendship

She tuned him out as he walked back to his post at the front of the class, sharing the story of his youth. She banged her head on her desk. Quietly. Fred and George were still covering their mouths, tears forming in their eyes, trying to contain their laughter as best they could. Comforting, that her two best friends took such joy in her misery.

4 Not Bad At All

She left as quickly as she could, knowing it would be impossible to find a decent seat by this time. She rounded the corner as full speed, only to be almost knocked to the ground when she ran straight into something….er….someONE, rather. In fact, she would have landed flat on her back had that someone not reached out and caught her around the waist. Nice reflexes.

5 Stupid Weasley Prats

She felt like her head was getting ready to explode.

”WEASLEY IF YOU DON’T HAND OVER THAT PAPER I’M GOING TO HEX YOUR SORRY REAR INTO NEXT TUESDAY!”

She hadn’t realized until she saw the entire class staring at her, open-mouthed, that she had stood up, knocked over her chair, and screamed that out loud…not in her head.

6 Shall We?

She rolled her eyes as he sped off toward the goals, tossing the quaffle in her direction. She caught it with ease, and eyed the other two chasers. They sped off in a triangular formation, passing the quaffle back and forth between them. Wood watched them like a hawk as they approached, and the quaffle was passed to Dee. She looped around in all different directions before coming up right in front of Wood and scoring an easy goal.

“Beginner’s luck!” he shouted. She stopped and turned back to him. “Yes, you are going to be needing that, obviously.”

7 The Smooth, Subtle Type

“Hey, Wood.”

“ –season…oh. Yes?”

“Do you think we could possibly talk about, you know, something besides, well, quidditch?”

He stopped, a slightly puzzled look on his face. Dee bit her lip to keep from laughing. It was as if he didn’t know how to talk about anything BUT quidditch.

Probably true. Oh well. Maybe she could help him expand his borders.

8 The Cause of Chaos

He nodded. It was what she had suspected then. She'd only come to the realization recently...it was like she was blocking out that possibility. But the signs were all there...talking about Wood being obsessed with quidditch and how he was so hard on them...not wanting them to be alone together...not wanting them to be together at all...

Fred was jealous. Jealous of Wood.
