Hermione meets Greg O'Neil, and later Draco gives her a present.

“Do you find her suitable to be your wife?” Greg had a confused look written on his face, so The Dark Lord sighed and continued. “You are the only of my incompetent followers who was able to make progress in breaking down the Light Side. For that achievement, I will turn this disgraceful Mudblood into a beautiful wife for you, and a strong Death Eater for me. With just a few simple words she will have a completely new past, all leading up to the moment she comes to me for consoling.”

“Do you love him, your husband that is?” Draco looked straight in her eyes as he spoke.

“No.” Hermione hadn’t glanced from her menu.  “To be honest, I haven’t tried anything because I’ve realized this is most likely my only chance to not be sent off to Azkaban. I’m not thick headed. I understand my options and you are my best chance at getting back to a somewhat normal life.  I also understand that you have ulterior motives with me.”

The few steps to her room felt like nails being driven into a coffin. If she turned the knob and signaled for Greg to execute his plan, then there would be no going back. She would have to finish it. With a deep shaking breath she forced the door open and looked sadly to Greg. He simply stuck up his thumb and winked. She felt like the lowest person in that small moment, but there was nothing she could do now.

She couldn’t help but scream and crumble under the utter darkness around her. The feeling of bits being torn from her very insides choked her screams momentarily. Within an instant, all feeling disappeared and her vision dimmed and she teetered unwillingly. The last thing she saw out of the darkness was a small white orb float from her mouth as she toppled to the ground.
