Hermione shrieked, jumped from her position on the third rung, and took off at a run. Harry was at her heels, a smile on his face laughter in his eyes. She ran until she reached her mother, who was sitting in an Adirondack chair next to Lily in the Potter’s front yard. Hermione took up a post in between the two chairs, out of breath. “Mum, Harry is threatening to- to- to kiss me!” Hermione said as the accused arrived.
