Mara Thorpe was a Ravenclaw, and a particularly smart one at that. She was reserved and quiet, she kept to her studies and she did as she was told. But most significant of all, she would never associate herself with that silly Sirius Black. While people all over the school fought for the attention of the infamous Marauders, Mara and Ben, best friends, kept to themselves. Or that's the way it should have been. It would gave been that way, too, if it hadn't been for that stupid class trip! That stupid trip to the Department of Mysteries that ruined everything.
