‘Voldemort,’ Sirius said raggedly, pushing his long dark hair off his face. Remus noticed for the first time that Sirius was tense and breathless. ‘He’s back.’

‘Back?’ Remus repeated stupidly. A horrid chill that had nothing to do with the breeze from the open window began to seep into him, but he was finding it difficult to take in what Sirius was saying. ‘What do you mean?’

‘’I’m twenty-three years old. How old were you when you first joined the Order?’

Remus sighed. ‘Eighteen.’

‘So I don’t think age is really a problem here, do you?’

‘You’re too young to remember what Voldemort’s reign was like the first time round –’

‘I do remember.’ Tonks’s eyes flashed, and for a second she looked uncannily like Sirius did when he was angry, before she relaxed again. ‘I was young, but I remember. And I know this time I can help.’

Remus gets into tight spot during his work for the Order and discovers something important. Everyone at Grimmauld Place has mixed reactions to Fleur Delacour. Remus is hit by a startling realisation.

Harry’s arrival triggers friction at Twelve Grimmauld Place. Remus continues to hide his true feelings for Tonks.

Remus must put his feelings aside when he and Tonks are sent on a mission.

‘You’re not doing the Order any favours if you’re too tired to do your job properly – what if you fall asleep on duty or something?’ Tonks demanded.

‘Don’t be ridiculous, I’d never be that careless,’ Remus muttered.

‘I’m telling you, Remus, you’re in no fit state to handle guard duty all night, now will you just let me help you for once?’

‘Why do you have to be so bossy?’
