Draco and Lucius are traveling by Rolls Royce toward The O’Conner Estate. Once they arrive in what seems to be the middle of nowhere, they meet Fiona O’Conner, the Horse Master of the Triad who arrives driving a coach pulled by Winged Horses. Fiona advises them to buckle up, then after wishing the Royce’s driver good day, heads toward their final destination. Who was that strange little man who didn’t speak to them? At the Compound, little Ashlee O’Conner is studying Ancient Runes with her Uncle Ian, when Aunt Alyde comes in, very excited. It seems a message has come from the Guest House saying that there is a playmate waiting for Ashlee. Excited by the idea of a new friend, Ashlee and Aunt Alyde fly the two person broom to the Guest House. There Ashlee finds Draco. At first neither wants anything to do with the other.
