Lily makes Harry breakfast; They discuss their dreams and aspirations; Harry gets ready to go on an outing with James, Sirius and Remus. We also learn more about the fates of Voldemort and Pettigrew and the wizarding legal system.

This chapter answers the question as to why Severus Snape has not appeared before in my story. The answers may surprise you, but there is more to the story.

Our heroes arrive in the Philippines to aid in rescue efforts to help the trapped people; Molly Weasley comes along reluctantly, but has a change of heart and a change of views about muggles, her family and life. She notices relationships that are growing and children who are becoming adults. And then, while everyone is doing good and saving lives, an unwelcome visitor arrives on the scene to shatter the moment.

An action packed chapter with the Original Marauders teaming up with the New Marauders to fight off a band of rampaging giants!!! Hagrid returns a changed man, and a being whose motives we are unsure of returns.

Dumbledore faces a moral dilemma as the long awaited confrontation between Snape, the Potters and Petunia Evans takes place. An unseen enemy plans to take advantage of the situation.

We learn how Vernon Dursley died, and our cast deals with the fallout. Note: Vernon suffers a rather graphic fate and it is not for the young so be forewarned.

We go into the mind of Petunia Evans Dursley, and see what is really going on in there. A choice is made, and the story takes another twist. Note: More details about Snape's encounter with Petunia are revealed, so be warned that this chapter may not be appropriate for younger children.

Dudley goes on a rampage. Nuff said!!!

The Heroes meet to figure out what the heck happened on New Azkaban; Max and Harry talk; Certain actors on the stage reveal what they know, and some know more than they appear.

In JK Rowling's books, chapter 12 has always been a critical chapter, where important things are learned (if you don't believe me go back and reread Chapter 12 of each book - they are always important); For me, it is chapter 20. This is an important chapter; Much is revealed, and much is not. Hints are given, but nothing is written in stone. The world might be coming to an end, but it might not. Byzantine summary? We find out where Malfoy took the death -eaters after escaping New Azkaban, we learn more about his plans for Dudley Dursley and Lucius Malfoy; We learn the possible fate of another dark villain who has eluded muggle authorities and we learn more about the danger facing our heroes and the world.

We get more details on the plan of the Hogwarts founders and their relationship to Dumbledore; More of Fortis' plan is revealed and the cliffhanger from the last chapter is resolved. Special thanks to Shade for being a good sport about it all (she knows why).

We take a moment to shift gears and see how the former students of Hogwarts are doing now that they are starting to return to school. We put a spotlight on a few of them (hence the title of the Chapter). The students work out in the gym; Harry and Neville have a talk about current events; Ron gets a letter; Hermione reveals a previously unknown ability; Pansy Parkinson is an ass; a new couple begins a relationship; and another cliffhanger ending :)

Ron, Hermione and Harry are unconscious. Each has a vision where they learn more. Hagrid and Hermione have a reunion. Cameos. Mysteries revealed and begun. Sorry for the delay in getting the chapter up, but life got in the way. Now, the story will be resolved.

NOTE: I changed the title from "And One Shall Surely Die? What do you Think?" because I really was not happy with that. The U2 song was playing in my head, and the phrase seemed to work so once again a chapter title comes from a song (I have a diverse base of interests that I am including in this story including music)

The Four Hogwarts Founders have a heart warming reunion over good food, good wine, and civilized discussion. Actually, they discuss their plans to take over the world. It's Pinky...Pinky and the Brain (NO, Pinky & the Brain are not in the chapter I just always think of them when someone plots to take over the world). Bwah-hah-hah!!! Acknowledgement: The Sorting Hat Song at the end of this chapter was written by Wade Lassiter, and it was first made famous in the movie "FAME". Thanks, Mr. Lassiter, you're song is as great today as it was lo those many years ago in the ancient 1980's.

Firenze returns home for the first time and we learn more about him, Helga Hufflepuff, reborn in the body of Harris Morgan's Estranged Wife Natasha, leads an Assault on the Centaurs, and the Heroes Join the Battle. Someone makes the ultimate sacrifice.

Sirius and Phim, Remus, Alane, Oliver, Pansy, Venture and Echo travel to join in the fight to protect Sirius' first love (and Phim's mother) Megan, and the rest of her family, including her husband Atticus; The location where they have been staying may be familiar to some; A woman of wonders joins the fray, with others to come; Wood and Pansy enjoy the scenery; and there is a tender heartwarming family reunion.

We return to St. Mungo's to witness the battle between Bellatrix and the Hybrid vs. the Potters, the Longbottoms, the Weasleys, and the Genesis/Hemlock families. Two characters die, and this time the deaths are final. After writing this chapter, I know how JK Rowling felt when she killed Sirius, as another of her beloved characters makes the ulitmate sacrifice, and an original character dies also. Gilderoy Lockhart reverts to type.

A crescendo is defined as the build up to the final climax, and so it begins here. In this chapter (set during the events of Chapters 37 - 39), we learn what happened to Io after she left the Battle of the Centaurs; Godric takes hostages; Little Duddy Didders is given an opportunity to prove he is a man, and Rowena (Petunia) is pleased by the results. We see the final fate of Gilderoy Lockhart. The Weasley (all of them) are in pain. One Weasley exits stage right to begin a mysterious quest. Another Weasley feels overly responsible for the death of Molly and the amnesia of Arthur. The heroes rally as the Final Battle moves inevitably closer. P.S.
