Ch. # Chapter Title Word Count Reviews
1 Birthday Surprises

Larkin Gallagher gazed at the side mirror on the car. What did she see? She saw an eleven-year old (as of today) with large violet, almond eyes and red, long straight hair. Larkin had a strange feeling that her life was going to change today. But that was silly, how could her life change just like that with no warning? Besides today was her birthday, July 25th, and she was supposed to be enjoying it. Larkin looked back in the mirror one last time and then turned back to her book

3 Gringots

After what seemed like hours, though were only minutes, the cart screeched to a stop at vault 777-7777, making Larkin and Charlie almost fall onto Griphook. He got out and with his screechy voice asked for the lantern, then the key. Slowly the door opened.

“Step forward now. Let me examine your wand arm. Mmm. Now which wand? I got it!” It took Olivander a while to find what he was looking for but when he did he went over to Larkin, and said, “I wondered when I would sell this wand. Try this.” Olivander slightly smiled when a golden glow encircled the witch. “Fourteen inches, ash, dragon heartstring. You wand isn’t a Marauders, it’s your mothers.”

Larkin recited what she had memorized the day she got her letter. “September first, platform nine and three quarters.”

“What do you mean nine and three quarters? There is no platform nine and three quarters.” Larkin saw her mother was right. There was a big plastic nine and a big plastic ten, but no ten and three quarters.

6 Hogwarts

Larkin realized she was skipped. G comes before L. “Maybe Professor McGonagall accidentally missed a line. Maybe… “Larkin stood still as a statue numb from the shock. “I don’t belong here. I was a mistake.” Then Larkin thought of a possibility that would freeze anybody’s blood. “Maybe I’m not Larkin. Maybe…”

7 The Sorting

Well, well. There still is part of Slytherin in you. But then again you are very bright. Just like Hermione. And just like Hermione you have a great deal of courage. But where to put you. Not Slytherin? Your dad said that same thing. Well if not Slytherin I guess I’ll have to go with...

8 The Meeting

Larkin replied, “Are you scared of what’s next? I feel that way. I was supposed to meet my parents tonight, but I was scared they left me on the doorstep because they didn’t want me, that they were disappointed in me. I ran away. I was a cowardly. I’m still scared.”
