Monica, like every girl at Hogwarts, had a crush on Sirius Black, but who could blame her? Toned body, jet black hair, and those deep gray eyes. He was the definition of tall, dark and handsome. Literally. If you looked it up, there would be Sirius Black's picture.

Monica just rolled her eyes. Sirius always went for girls like Tiffany. Didn't he want a girl who could actually think? Someone to hold a meaningful conversation with? But the Huffelpuff had gotten use to Sirius picking those girls and never having anyone.

The Huffelpuff stepped out into the cool night air, walking to the lake and laying down in the grass. Monica was enjoying the evening, even though she was hungry. She was breathing in the autumn air, then she heard the grass rustle beside her.

Monica stared in disbelief. All she had done was try to help others. Maybe she wasn't nice to Jude, but that was one person, everyone had the right to not like at least one person in their life, right?

Monica tried desperately not to notice Sirius, or the way he was watching every move she made. With every passing second, the girl became more and more frazzled.

"Before anyone heads off to class," said the Headmaster, causing Monica to sit back down, "I'd like to make an announcement. As you may know, there is only three weeks left till most of you leave for Christmas and head home to your families. My fellow colleagues and I thought it would be nice to have a party, a Christmas Ball, you could say.

 "Lets go dance. Before the floor gets crowded."

"Oh because its so packed." Remus said, glancing at the empty dance floor.

"Don't you be smart with me, Mr. Lupin." Lily replied, although she had a smile on her face.

"Ya Moony, don't be smart. Plus, everyone is simply waiting for us to start the party." James said.

"And start it, we shall." added Sirius, standing and heading toward the floor with James.
 
 
 

 James and Sirius had gotten food, including syrup, on everything in the kitchen. There was a few broken plates on the floor and the two were laughing hysterically.

Once at the bottom of the stairs, Sirius took Lily’s place and led her to the living rom. He sat her down on the couch, and Mrs. Potter brought her food.
