Harry climbed the final steps up the staircase to Gryffindor Tower, his feet feeling heavier with each step, his thoughts one intangible mass of sorrow and elation. In the hours since he had returned the Elder Wand to Dumbledore's tomb, he had been passed and jerked around by well wishers and congratulaters...

Sunlight streamed through the thin curtains hanging over the window and Harry groaned, rolling onto his stomach as he tried in vain to drift back off to sleep.  After hours of nightmares, his dreams had finally taken a turn for the better and he was reluctant to wake up.  He was actually enjoying his dream for once and for him enjoying a dream didn't happen all that often, it barely happened at all actually.  His dream evaded him, however, as the last vestiges of sleep faded.  He gave a frustrated sigh and burrowed his face in his pillow...
