Isabella let go of Harry and held out her hand, “Best friends?” she asked him suddenly. Harry’s emerald eyes looked with her gold ones. “Best friends.” He repeated as he put his hand in hers.

She stood up and reached out to him, he took her hand and let out an, “oomph” when she wrapped her arms around his waist and hugged him with all her strength. He laughed and hugged her back. “Best friends.” She whispered, “Best friends.” He echoed.

She froze when his name was called out, “Potter, Harry.” Of course she knew where he would be placed but she looked up anyways.

She saw the hat cover his impossible hair and she saw his emerald eyes widen in surprise. Moments later, “GRYFFINDOR!”

Draco again rolled his eyes; Isabella and the mudblood were always at each other’s throats. They were constantly competing for the place as top student, both could easily be the brightest witch of their age, they were practically born rivals, and it was all very tiring as far as Draco was concerned.

“Not possible,” she heard Draco mutter. There have only ever been three champions, the Goblet never made a mistake, until now that is. She saw the twinkle fade from Dumbledore’s eyes as he read the name on the slip of the paper. Her heart stopped, she had sickening feeling of whose name resided on that paper.

All you had was Draco’s word, and he swept you up and turned you into this cold and unmoving girl that still has no bloody clue who she is.

“You know it’s going to be different, right?”
He shook his head yes and waited for her to continue.
“How different, you think?
He met her eyes and exhaled slowly, “Bella, it’s never going to be the same.”

Great, Malfoy could be Blaise’s best man and Parkinson could be her maid of honor, and Voldemort could marry them! How enchanting!
