Sirius again put his face in hers and said “Go on.”

“Nope.” she repeated, again turning her head.

Sirius then took her head in his hands and turned her to face him.

“Only one.” he murmured.

“No.” she said before he crashed his lips down onto hers.

“Well, er, that’s the thing you see. Madam Pomfrey saw something was wrong, more than she can deal with and basically had to send you to us.”

“What’s wrong with me?” asked Beth asked, her brow furrowing deeper.

“The doctor should be here any minute.” said the nurse brightly, obviously trying to change the subject. “He’s lovely, he is.” she smiled at Beth
