Abbie didn't respond, her mind blank. He watched her, curosity coursing through his mind on what was reeling through hers. Her light, green eyes softened, and he said, "You know...you have gorgeous eyes."

She looked at him, the lights dazzling in her eyes with a smile on her face, "Thanks. Yours aren't so bad either; stormy gray, but yet gentle. You just put a mask on...because you're not the person you portray yourself to be. You're not the person you think you are.... And one day, you're going to prove that to everyone...."
 

Without even a heads up an image came to her head of Sirius in honey and feathers. “What a great chicken he would make…probably the tallest yet,” she thought as she started laughing once again. Coming back from “Absie Land,” as her friends liked to call it and she couldn’t take the silence any longer.
 

"Well I do possess the power of magic; I am a wizard Miss Wright."

Abbie turned back around quickly, not recognizing the deep, enriching voice. Standing there was a tall man with dark brown hair and light green eyes. His skin was tanned and any girl would find him attractive.
 

"This must be serious…,” he said, concern etching on his face.

“Do you like me?”

"Without question,” he answered automatically.
 

The last thing she remembered was the pain that she felt when his teeth sunk into her, near her hip bone, and then hearing hooves and growls.
 

“Abbie, listen to me. It doesn’t matter that you love those nights. It doesn’t matter that you want to help. All that matters is that you’re safe…and you aren’t safe when you’re around me in that hideous form.” He sighed and looked at her, “I know this is terrible to do…but you must. You need to make a choice Abbie. You either don’t go on the full moon…or we can’t be together anymore….” 
 

Abbie then looked up, her eyes throwing daggers at him. “Are you bloody mental? We’re best mates. I’m with Remus… What the bloody hell is wrong with you?!”

“It was just something that happened. I couldn’t stop myself.”
 

Abbie turned around after hearing his voice, “The enemy has been spotted! ATTACK!”
 

James stepped on the last step, his foot stepping on something. He looked down and saw the golden charm bracelet. He bent down and picked it up, gulping slightly as he saw the blood that covered it.

 
“Sirius…,” James trailed as he held it up for Sirius to see.
 
“She never goes anywhere without that,” he said as his eyes grew big.
 
 
 
 
 

“Can you believe it’s our last night here?” Remus questioned. 

“Not at all. It just doesn’t seem possible,” Peter said. 

“It doesn’t seem possible because it’s not the way it was supposed to be,” Sirius said as he picked a blade of grass.
 
 
 

Shaking his head, he responded, “As much as I’d love to, I’ll never be able to have a new life. Not a life that would be worth living, anyhow. I would have to live in hiding, and to me, it’s just not worth it. I’m doing something that needs to be done so everyone else now, and in the future, can have a better life.”
 
 
 

“I know you don’t want to talk about things, and you don’t want to listen. I’m going to sit here and wait for you…. I just wanted you to know that no matter what, I will always be here for you.”
