In which an argument occurs and enemies are partnered... and Chrystal talks to Frank.

“Right. So when a guy gets into a duel its normal but a female can’t because then she’s overreacting?”

“Basically the way society thinks.”

“Are you society?”

“I’m part of it. So are you.”

“Chrystal! Look at me…” He put a finer under my chin to lift my eyes toward his. “There was no way I was going to stand by and let him do that to you. I love you and I won’t let anything happen to you. Especially not by him.”

I think I might faint… good thing the guy who had just announced to the whole of Gryffindor house that he loved me, was holding me upright.

“Panadol?” They both asked in confusion.

“Pain killers. Aspirin. You know… little white round tablets you take when you have a headache?”

“Nice.” Frank muttered. “My girlfriends giving me a lesson in medicines when I’m the one studying to be a healer.”

Remus laughed and helped me stand up. He was on the right side of the bed. “You asked for it when you got the Australian girlfriend.”

What did she just say? Did she just say she was… did she just confirm…? “Oh… my…god…” Was all I could say. My eyes were wide in shock, my mouth hanging open. I gazed down at her stomach, then her left hand. There was something very shiny on her hand… a very ring like shine.

I had explained away my absence from the bathroom. I had explained to Frank what had happened in ways I’d call ‘twisting the truth’ where others would simply call it ‘lying’.
