He had been unsuccessful. Failure was not acceptable. This he knew. How much time did he have? Would it be quick? Would it hurt?

 
He didn’t want to think about it, but his mind kept racing back to the subject.

 
Suddenly, a dark cloaked figure appeared next to the bed. Draco jumped and nearly fell over in shock. This was it. “Please!” he cried. “Please, don’t do it! Let me speak to him! Give me another chance!”

“But what if it’s the Horcrux?” he said. Ron and Hermione looked uneasy. “It would make sense, wouldn’t it?”
Hermione bit her lip anxiously. “I suppose….”
