Ch. # Chapter Title Word Count Reviews
1 Bryn.

C.C. went to pick up a biscuit at the same time James did. You know the cliché, their hands touched, they both blushed a furious red, a fact I found hilarious, but neither of them seemed to notice the other's blush, as both avoided eye contact.

That moment was when I decided I had had enough.

I was going to devise a plan. An impeccable plan.

2 Charmer.

He had nice hands. They weren’t too big, or too small, and his fingers weren’t round, which is something I dislike, and his knuckles weren’t bulbous, which is another thing I dislike.

I was having large amounts of trouble trying to find something to dislike about Albus.

3 Turtles.

Al Potter did have friends, contrary to popular belief, they were just all related to him.

4 Conversations.

Thursday rolled around in a particularly Thursday way. I hate Thursdays. And Tuesdays. And birds.

Anyway.

5 Grass.

I saw C.C. eating at the Ravenclaw table with Davies, and turned back around where James was playing with his food, looking like someone had ripped the head off his stuffed bear. (James did indeed have a stuffed bear, or he used to, and I teased him relentlessly until I realized he was fairly sensitive about the issue.)

6 Busy.

"Did everyone hear that?! Bryndle Ophelia Walker wants to cut her hair!" she yelled, much to my dismay.

You see, it is common knowledge that I never cut my hair.

7 Cure.

“How goes it?” I asked.

“It’s going well, so far...though something keeps buzzing about my ear. Buzzing, buzzing, buzzing....”

“Er, well let me see what you have so far.”

He handed me his half completed essay, which I skimmed over. It made sense, had a decent flow, and thank Merlin, it wasn’t about a wolf named Ralph.

8 Cousins.

I sat on the floor for a minute. I didn't want to walk all the way back to the Great Hall, but I didn't want to sit here for the next half hour. Of course, my dilemma was quickly remedied by the glorious sight of Al walking towards me.

9 Blushing.

Rose and Dominique gave each other a look. Then Dominique gave me a look, inconspicuously cocked her head over to James, and then nodded her head at me.

I took this to mean she wanted me to talk to James.

I nodded as if I knew why I needed to.

10 Kids.

He looked up at me with his sad eyes and he had a bit of dried drool on his face and he looked a bit pathetic so I sat down on the bed next to him and gave him a hug. It was one of those weird and slightly unpleasant sitting down hugs, but I figured that if anybody could ignore the weirdness and appreciate the gesture, it would be James.

11 Warm.

"Where have you been?" I asked him.

"Around," he said with a smile.

"Doing what?" I asked, teasing him.

"Trying to get up enough nerve to ask you to dance with me," he answered. I hadn't been expecting that response at all. He wasn't shy now, instead he was staring right at me and I felt my legs turning into jelly.

"Well then," my somewhat shaky voice asked, "what are you waiting for?"

12 Invitations.

“You ought to smell it. It’s quite interesting. I smell my dog, my favorite sweater, and some outdoorsy scent I can’t place,” C.C. said.

“Your favorite sweater has a smell?” I asked, laughing.

“Yes, it’s familiar,” she answered, daring me to challenge her.

By this point, Al had uncorked the vial and took a whiff of it. “It smells like my house, vanilla, and freshly baked bread. I didn’t even know I liked vanilla.”

13 A Date?

"You know, the movie is kind of similar to your dad's story. Luke is a young guy who doesn't know who he really is, who lives with extended family and has a mysterious power. And it's up to him to save the world with the guidance from a vague old man."

He laughed, "yeah. Uncle Ron's not much of a Han Solo though."

"No, he's definitely more of a Chewbacca."
