Would anyone ever find me?

“I forgive you.” I whispered, a tear falling down my face. He pulled me towards him into a bone crushing hug that was painful due to my bruises, but I didn’t say anything.

From the common room, and from my life.

And now I’m alone. Walking back up to my dorm and pulling myself into bed I realised something.

Danny was all I have now. I’ve lost my best, and pretty much only, friend over a boy no less.
 

“Padfoot, my dear friend, you are a GENIUS!”

Yes, ladies and gentlemen, you did just hear that right. I did indeed call Sirius Black a genius.

I smiled as he grabbed my hand and pulled me towards the stairs. I feel as though my life is getting itself back on track.
 

“Okay,” I said. “I’ll miss you.”


“Miss you too.” He smiled, kissing me tenderly on the forehead and heading out of the hospital wing, away from me. He’s going to send in my family, the people who make my home.


So why do I feel like home is leaving rather than arriving?

“I feel like I’m in a zoo, Jake.” I told him as people pointed and stared at me.
