2 Understandings

Even though she was in a very busy time, there was not one day passing by without Samanta thinking of William. It was kind of weird actually, how she was almost obsessed with thinking of the guy. He wasn’t that special. Okay, he was deathly handsome, but his personal traits? He was way too nice for her. But being nice also meant that he had another quality, which she had to admit she really liked; understanding. During the whole date at Valentine’s, during everything they talked about, it was like he understood her. And that was something she felt like nobody else really did.

3 Easter come, Easter go

The morning after, Samanta took the Hogwarts Express back to school after the visit to her aunt. But during the whole travel, all she could think about was that last thing she had told her. It wasn’t like all the other weird stuff she normally spoke of, those things sounded like something she just said randomly. This statement was different, like there was a specific meaning behind it. And Samanta couldn’t find out what. But she would, eventually. It just wouldn’t be anything that she could ever have thought of.

4 Her time has come

Narizza stood in the lounge and saw her niece vanish from the garden with a portkey. Her visit had been pleasant, but not as lucrative as she had hoped. But of course, there was no rush. Yet. As for right now, she had more important things to think of.

5 A Stunning Spell

It was a sunny Friday. A perfect ending of the week. The spring had really put in, if not the summer was ahead already. The park was screaming for outdoor activity and happy students to sit down in the green grass and have a great time. But of course they couldn’t. They had school.

6 Changes

“You know, things will probably happen soon, changes. Be aware of that.” She couldn’t get  Narizza’s bizarre statement out of her head while she watched the horrifying transformation her body went through.

7 An obedient bow

The next weeks were weird.  Samanta felt free and life seemed so easy. Yet, she was terrified and nervous. The contrasts freaked her out and it ended with a decision to just stay away from everybody for a while. Every time she had the chance she either ran up to the library and did homework or she ran out in the park and read there. Her friends seemed to be a bit confused, but while striding out of the common room one day, she heard Miranda telling Felicia and James that; “Don’t worry, you know Sam, she prefers to be alone sometimes."

8 no Words no Wand

“W-William, we gotta go,” she grabbed his arm to take him back, but with her moving, so did the beast. Samanta got frightened, but somehow she managed to pull herself together and grabbed her wand. That was more than William, he didn’t seem to move an inch. Just stood there and stared at the attackers. Not that she blamed him, most people would have gotten that same reaction. In fact, she wondered why she didn’t.

9 Recovery

Samanta sat up in her bed and looked at the girls standing around her, looking worried. Then she went out of the bed and towards the bathroom. Two meters in front of the door she blacked out.

10 Black Street, Black Sheep

Narizza had first noticed the article because of the alleged Flee Network advancement, but as soon as she had seen through it, it made her think of somethink else. Somethink that might help her with a problem she had been pondering on for while now. She needed som delicate information, not secured information, but still it was hard to obtain. Because sometimes asking a question could be more dangerous than giving the answer.

11 Enigmatic Encounter

It was Friday morning and three days had gone by since the epic events in the Forbidden Forest. Her body still ached a little and she had felt pretty tired, but her strength was definitely coming back. It had been a tough few days, both physically and mentally, but she felt better every day. Today it was two weeks until summer break, and even though her aunt’s letter had been a disappointment, she was looking forward to see her. At least in person she would have a better chance to get some answers.

12 Gold and Fire

When she thought about it, this day had actually been kind of nice. Then she noticed the note on her pillow. She slowly reached for it. The last time she had found a letter on her pillow it had not brought very enchanting words. The envelope was of expensive material, but as she read her name on the front it was not the same hand writing as last time. In fact, it was a hand writing she did not expect to see. He never wrote to her anymore. She opened it quickly to see what her father had written.

13 On My Way Back Home

She had tried getting over it, just go back to her normal self, her slightly boring, but still normal self. It did not work. Maybe it was time to start adjusting. She was not normal anymore. Still she was no less, she said to herself while stepping off the train. No matter how nervous and uncomfortable this whole situation got her, it had not made her a lesser person. She was not normal anymore. She was way above.

For the second time during their conversation she thought of Zane. It also hit her how much her father knew about her aunt, did they not resent talking to each other? However, all of that got lost in the ton of thoughts and feelings regarding the fact that her father, the one person that was pretty much biologically obligated to be honest with her, had known this horrifying secret about her all along without uttering a word.

15 small in Numbers, big in Differences

She took a step forward in the weak light. Looking up, she saw the familiar silhouettes of a big, stony castle with a big, stony wall reaching around the entire construction. Surrounding it was nothing but larch, spruce, fir and pine spreading out in the vast landscape – the distinctive frame of the Siberian taiga. She took a breath of the fresh air and started walking towards the castle.

16 Some Misunderstanding - Part I

For four long months she had been walking around in a thick fog. A thick fog consisting of confusion, fear and vague answers. That was about to change. As Samanta took a determined step through the bricks to Platform 9 ¾ she had made up her mind. Today she was going to take the Hogwarts Express for a new school-year for the fifth time – and she was not going to stress about anything but schoolwork. There was no such thing as problems – only challenges. She would clean up this mess, and finally take the lead in her own life.

17 Some Misunderstanding - Part II

It was like something exploded inside her; one small thought blew up and broke into thousands of thoughts and questions. Could it be? No... Or? It would be terrible and wonderful all at the same time.

18 Minor Earth, Major Sky

The weekend had passed incredibly fast. Saturday night had been spent together with her friends, playing Exploding Snap and talking meaningless fun. Sunday had been sunny and bright, and she had been sitting outside in the park all day, making the most of the last burning sunrays before the summer ended, and doing what she had of homework. It had all been clouded with a certain question though, spinning around in the back of her head every minute of both days. What was she going to do about William?
