Set in August of 1971, when Lily and her sister were 11 years old. The two sisters receive their Hogwarts letters, setting the tone for characters and family life.

In September 1975, during the group's 5th year, everyone is ready to get back to Hogwarts. Some want to see friends, some want to get back to learning, and some just want to prank.

As it comes closer to the full moon, Remus Lupin is feeling worse and worse, and Elizabeth can't help but feel exceptionally guilty. Since Remus is in no shape to start the potion, Elizabeth and Sirius start, running into Snape and testing out their newfound feelings for each other.

The Marauders are finally able to transform into animals. After an exhausting night of practicing their newfound skills, Sirius and Elizabeth ditch Defense Against the Dark Arts and go on an adventure where they realize devotion is the best thing in their lives.

Elizabeth and Sirius have their second detention and Elizabeth has a creepy premonition within the Crystal Ball. Elizabeth and Lily receive the news that Petunia has decided to get married and the Marauders head out to the black lake.

The boys finally find out about Sirius and Elizabeth, while so does the rest of the school. Lily also finds out -- much to Elizabeth's dismay -- and gives Elizabeth quite the lecture. While Elizabeth is upset, she manages to finally find a new girl friend.

 Elizabeth is in the hospital wing... will she be okay? And why did she faint? Lily also apologizes to Elizabeth -- and forgiveness is a powerful thing.

 

 Elizabeth is glad to be back and pulls a prank on the teachers, which somehow earns the students the day off. Quidditch tryouts take place and Elizabeth and Sirius have a short but intimate conversation about Regulas.

 

 Elizabeth searches for James after he has stormed out of the corridor and finds him; but is nervous about what he is going to do. Afterwards, she talks with Anthony and Sirius, and finally gets around to writing her family some letters. 

 

 The Marauders start to learn nonverbal spells in Defense Against the Dark Arts, but Elizabeth suddenly has a strange vision. She goes straight to bed -- but thankfully, there's someone there to comfort her... even if the rumors start flying.

 

After Elizabeth and Peter create a distraction to get out of Herbology class, Professor Dumbledore asks to speak to Elizabeth and answers many of her unasked questions. Elizabeth chooses to tell her sister and then curls up with Sirius, hoping to forget.

 After much anticipation, the Quidditch game between Hufflepuff and Gryffindor has finally arrived. Elizabeth begins to prepare for the game and has a few run-ins: one that leaves her with a spark of hope.
