“I’ll have to make sure the desk is O.k. please excuse me a moment.” He walked past her outstretched hand and inspected the desk. “It seems to be undamaged.”

“Oh ha ha ha.” She said sarcastically. “Now please help me up.”

Draco twirled the rose in his fingers for a moment before casting it aside in anger he couldn’t smell summer and hope like she had. Any fruitiness was overpowered by that bitter aftertaste, regret and broken dreams.
