Voldermort turned to look at Narcissa and chuckled once more, this laugh slightly more genuine than the previous. He had always been curious as to the bonds built bewteen families, how they became so attatched to each other, it was such a weakness.


 
 
 
 
 
 
 

"Today we acknowledge a really terrible loss," Dumbledore started. As he spoke the sea of whispers died down and silence fell upon the hall.
 
 

“Evening, Granger.” A familiar voice greeted Hermione. Only one person addressed her as ‘Granger’ and until only hours ago, she believed that person to be dead.
 
 
 

“Jesus Christ!” Hermione exclaimed, jumping at the sound of his voice.
“I thought we’d already covered this,” Draco started, “my name’s Draco Malfoy, and just so you don’t get confused, yours is Hermione Granger.” He winked.
 

He had tried not to think of leaving Hermione. Over the past few days he had noticed things about her that he never had before. If only he had noticed these things when he was still alive, things would have been different. Things would have been better. He was happier when he was with Hermione, which meant he was happier when he was dead.
