Its been just over a year since the demise of Voldemort and his followers. Ginny and Hermione finshed school together and both were preparing for their education after Hogwarts. Hermione has decided to continue with Muggle studies and work at the ministry.Ginny has been looking into work with the department of mysteries. She wants to work on helping the people that were cursed with dark magic.

Magical families that still were in contact with their muggle friends and family were well aware of bus stations, airports and the underground rail systems. In each of these building there was a room or area where they could apparate in and out without being noticed by non magical folks.

The Leaky Cauldron is a wizard bar that many wizards walk through to get to Diagon Alley. When the ministry had suggested to Tom the owner that his business could only benefit from allowing magical folks walking through London to enter Diagon Alley from his secret passage, he could not have agreed any more quickly.
