"She's magical?" my dad stuttered out, his gaze switching between me and Flitwick.

 "He was dropped on his head when he was a kid," Rose say simply, grinning at us.

"Yeah but shouldn't he be more serious? I mean he's gonna do his NEWT's this year." Chelsea grimaces and checks no one can see in.

"He wasn't made Head Boy I'm guessing?"I ask, pulling on my robes.

"YOU WANTED TO LICK HIS HAND?" shouts Chelsea standing up in shock.

"Shut Up Chelsea!"

But it's too late.

 "Rose", I suddenly blurt out, causing her to jump and swear quietly as her vinegar bottle explodes.

She repairs it and turns to me, her gaze icy. "What!" Her voice is very clipped and angry sounding. What? I just made her jump.

"If you were stuck on an island with only your wand, what would you do?" 

 We are silent as we head down towards the dungeons, me smiling to myself because we sound like an old married couple. Which we will never be, on account of Al dying at an early age  because of his apparent hatred against laughing.

 "You gonna knock?" Rose asks me, grinning.

"What? Me. You do it."

"Naa. I think I'll give you that privilege."

"I'm not touching their door. He's your cousin you do it."

"Wuss."

  We head into the nearest one and my eyes are bombarded with bright colours and the screeches of tweenage girls.

"No," I say immediately, dragging out Chelsea, who doesn't protest. The next shop is full of floor length gowns and the sales assistant looks at us like we are Flobberworms invading the shop. We scope around to see if there are any dresses above calf length, but exit quickly when Chelsea almost knocks over a decorative vase.

 "You guys are friends now? How long will that last?"

We turn to see Albus, standing there with a limpet attached to his arm. Oh wait, sorry, it's Scarlet.
