“And where have you been?” I made to kiss her and she turned her head.

Millicent and Daphne quickly moved away from Pansy to the other side of the common room with guilty looks on their faces. I raised my eyebrow but neither of them gave anything away so I sat next to Pansy and tried to put my arm around her but she scooted back.
 

Suddenly she turned to where I sat on the couch.

“You’re really still here? Do you know how creepy it is that you just sat here and stared at me this long?”

“I didn’t just stare at you,” I replied, “I looked at the fire and your painting, too.”

“You’re still a creep,” she said, “And I’m leaving.”
 

“How are you doing?” Blaise smirked at me out of the corner of his mouth as he spoke to Rachel.

“Uh fine,” she looked around him at me but all I could do was shrug.

“Blaise mate what are you doing?” I asked.

“Well I didn’t have a date so I figured I could spend time in Hogesmeade with my best mate.”

 
 

“Are you serious?”

“Completely,” he chuckled, “I’m glad I was right, well you know like I always am.”

It was my turn to chuckle, “I do owe you a thank you.”
 

“You are being unreasonable now. You know your sister is heartbroken and so is Draco you don’t want to fix that? He didn’t want to hurt her.”

“He’s just upset over losing he doesn’t actually care about Rach.”

“You really think Draco Malfoy is upset over losing 200 galleons? Do you know how much money he has? Not to mention he paid the night he ended the bet so if it was about the money he would’ve been upset before Pansy ever had her outburst. Do you want to see my Gringotts slip proving the deposit?”

After a few minutes of silence she spoke, “Do you really think he will only bring eggs?”

I shrugged, “I honestly have no idea.”

“I really don’t want to not eat for two days.”

“Then you can forgive me,” I paused, “Or suck up your freaky egg issue.”
