"It wasn’t like all my friends got on the train at the last second, hopefully one of them had managed to snatch a compartment before they all got half full.

I didn’t have to wait long before I heard an immediately recognisable voice shouting over crowd.

‘Oi Ted! Down here Ted!’ "

 

 ‘You have got to be kidding me!’ I yelled to our table at large, ‘Did you honestly not know about this Jess?!’

‘Are you kidding! Do you really think I could of kept this from you?’ she laughed back, 'I can’t believe my Dad didn’t tell me!’ 

 “You ok mate” he asked in an unfazed voice, letting his face give away his concern.

“What am I doing down here” I asked in a daze as I looked around the room. It looked so different at night.

“I couldn’t get to sleep earlier, then all of a sudden you just pulled your hangings back and decided to go for a midnight stroll” he shrugged
