Lilah gets ready to leave the Muggle world for her seventh year at Hogwarts, reflecting all the while about how odd her life seems and how different things were going to be once this year was over.

“I’m a seventh year Ravenclaw and Lily is a fifth year Gryffindor. I’m not involved in any extracurricular activities so why would I have any interaction with her before this?” I shot back icily. How thick were these people?


“This isn’t getting anywhere productive. Mr. Potter and Mr. Malfoy is there anything you would like to add?” Professor Brennan interjected right when Rose was about to open her mouth and fire something back at me.

 Sure, Al was a nice guy, and he certainly wasn’t harsh on the eyes either, but our involvement was in this revenge plot. We could never have a normal or healthy relationship because of all this business, so I refused to let myself think of him as my friend. We were involved, and that was it. 

“Yes and no.” She answered shiftily and began fidgeting. Now I was getting somewhere. Nervous fidgeting meant she was hiding something. She always tried to cover up and always give all the good news first so that you hopefully forgot to ask what the bad news was. “It’s complicated.”
 
“I’m here all day Darla.” I reminded her, seeing as this was her fault. 

 Before I knew it, I felt his lips on mine and electricity race across my back and I pressed back instinctually. It was like nothing I ever felt before. There was this energy in me, consuming me as we kissed that I had never felt before. Right when I was about to close my eyes and lose myself in the motion, a bright red light flashed across the ceiling.
