“You weren’t thinking I’d leave you, were you?” An amused Fred asked with a smirk on his freckled face.

This time, Morgan rolled her eyes as she pushed past Fred. Of all the people she had to get stuck with, it had to be him.

“Err; excuse me?” the visitor asked as Fred and Morgan got close enough to hear him, “I don’t mean to be direct, but you are Morgan Chambers, right?”

Morgan looked up at the boy and stared him down, as though she was assessing him. She then looked him straight in the eye.

“That all depends,” she said, seeming to have recovered from her coyness, “You are Trent Cooper, yes?”

The boy broke into a cheerful grin, “I was the last time I check.”
