That's as far as his thought had gotten when Draco heard a whoosh from his fire place. By the time Draco had his head lifted and eyes open, his face was slapped with paper. Once fallen, Draco could see the Hogwarts seal along with the owl sitting on his table.

*I thought Father told them I wasn't going back?*

Again her face became doubtful, but not willing to disappoint her son, she gave in, “Alright my dragon, I’ll go back to the ballroom, and don’t keep me waiting too long. You’re very handsome you know.”


As she turned to leave, Draco grabbed her hand to stop her. “Mother, what does that mean? Why do you keep saying that?” He couldn’t help himself, he needed to know why.


She smiled at him, and squeezed his hand, “One day, my son. One day you’ll know exactly what I mean.” She then slipped her hand away and walked back to the autumn dinner.
