This is a one-shot inspired by--not based upon--the song "Chuck E.'s in Love" by Rickie Lee Jones. I apologize for the rather mediocre title: I spent nearly an hour brainstorming and could not, for the life of me, think of anything better. Anyway, this is the kind of fic that you just had to write. It's Lily/James and takes place in third year. James and Lily have been inseparable friends since first year, but what happens when James starts acting odd around Lily? What is this thing that caused him to act this way? Could it be love?
