December 22, 1977. Dear stupid little diary, Well first of all, a very Happy Birthday to me. Aren’t I lucky, I’m stuck at Hogwarts for the Christmas Holidays and so far it looks like I’m the only Gryffindor left! No wait someone’s coming down the boys staircase. Could it possibly be Remus Lupin? He's a good friend of mine though unfortunately he is a Marauder too. Ugh...but no avail, it’s Potter! |

December 23, 1977 Dear little diary, Guess what! I’m so glad that James and I are the only Gryffindors left! Because last night when I laid down on the couch I fell asleep. Apparently James thought it a good idea to come and sit on the couch. What’s worse, somehow he managed to move me and lay down behind me. He must have conjured up a blanket over both of us. When I woke up this morning, very late mind you, James was still sleeping behind me! Ugh! The nerve! Like I told you some people never change! |

January 15, 1978 Dear Journal, I am so sorry fro my long absence! I haven’t had much to say. The remainder of my vacation was spent reading with James in the library, playing in the snow with James, snogging in James room, getting caught snogging in James room…….Just to inform you Sirius was the one who caught us and believe me he’ll remember to knock from now on! |

January 28, 1978 Dear Diary, Today was another mildly pleasant day. There’s been a blizzard raging, since 4 a.m., and it’s showing no sings of stopping. It’s been making the corridors freezing and don’t even get me started on how cold the dungeons are. |

February 2, 1978 Today my friends hung out all day, and I learned that it’s hard to sneak around when I don’t share a room with them any more. I’ve been trying to collect pictures to put in photo books for them; it’s much harder than you think. I almost got caught once… |

February 12, 1978 Valentine’s Day is in two days and the whole school seems a flutter. Girls are getting all lovey-dovey and ninety percent of the boys are staying away from them; except for today, of course, because it was a Hufflepuff versus Gryffindor quidditch game. Today was the one day they would stay around the girls: if only to show off. |

February 14, 1978 I haven’t got much time to write right now. I found a note from James telling me to meet him for dinner in the heads common room at seven, and it’s five thirty right now. All day, I’ve been finding white lilies around the school. They show up in the oddest places; I found one in the loo this morning, and one appeared behind my ear in Transfiguration, which Professor McGonagall too the liberty of pointing out in front of the entire class. |

March 3, 1978 I can’t believe what I saw. I can’t believe it’s really real. I want to be angry, but I can’t. I want to cry but I’ve cried far too much already. |

April 12th, 1978 It’s Easter Holiday now, and I can’t be more excited. It’s so nice to be home with my parents. I haven’t seen them since they brought me to King’s Cross last September. Before, James was talking to my parents and I sort of overheard the end of their conversation. I’m pretty sure he didn’t know I was coming down the hallway. I do wonder what they were talking though. |

April 13, 1978 James never even suspected a thing. He and my father left early to beat the traffic driving into London. I could tell James was quite excited to see this new, strange sport, and what’s better is that he never knew that it was a set up. |

April 22, 1978 I’m back at Hogwarts once again. We have been for a few days actually, I just haven’t written since we’ve arrived. Much has been going on lately. There have been more talks of an uprising by some evil person who is rumored to call himself “Lord Voldemort”. The school is trying to keep everything quiet for right now, in order to not worry all the students, but obviously we can’t control what parents write to their children in letters. |

“The lessons that were offered helped me enormously. Suddenly it was easier to write scenes, imagine them and bring suspension and romance in it. I loved it! It helped me in a way other bloggers couldn’t and still can’t.” - Student
