Despite the terrible events at the end of Harry Potter's sixth year, Hogwarts has reopened, an unwise decision. Now that Albus Dumbledore has gone, security at school is low, and Death Eaters have attacked . . . and many have been injured, Hermione Granger among them. She is dying a slow, painful, tearful death in St. Mungo's Hospital for Magical Maladies and Injuries. (I don't recommend this story if you don't feel like crying.)
