Hermione recieves a letter from her parents a week before the term ends, she finds out what they have to say when she arrives back in London.

things get a little more interesting in this chapter.

Ron had chosen not to speak to Hermione until she had apologized to him for lying to him and hurting his feelings by not attending the party as his date; not to mention he was still angry with her for not telling him that she was betrothed to the ‘mysterious dragon’ as soon as she found out. She chose to act as if nothing had changed between them; she thought that would be the best way for him to forgive her for what ever reason he had chosen to be angry with her this time.

"Happy seventeenth birthday Darling," hrmione's mother squealed as she came down stairs that morning.

Hermione sleepily raised her eyebrows, spun on hr heel and went back to her room. "Wake my up on August 30th, so I ca skip this whloe engagement thing," Hermione muttered as she slammed her bedroom door and fell back in bed. "this is like living in my worst nightmare...." she sighed as she felt hr eyes begin to well up with tears. 'why did they have to choose us?'

She took the photograph from him, and saw a younger, more vibrant and carefree Narcissa Malfoy; and another young woman, both had new borns in their arms. "My mother....Danielle?"

"Yes and by the looks of it, I'd say that you get your looks from her," he said pointing out the same honey brown locks of hair in a maine of curls, only Danielle's looked slightly darker and slightly more tamed.
