The water sparkled and glistened as the sun shone down on its surface. Water lilies spread about its surface, and a dragon fly hovered lazily inches above. All was peaceful and quiet, with the exception of the yells and shouts that could be heard in the distance.


It was her haven. It was a place where she could come to think, away from the chaos and mayhem. Away from the torments and the teasing, ‘the pond’ was a place; she could dream and wonder what lay beyond that held so much mystery to her….
