“Where am I?” he questioned.
“You’re in St. Mungo’s,” Hermione said.
“What?”
“You overdosed, mate,” Blaise replied gravely.

“Come on, mate,” Matt mumbled, helping Draco carefully to his feet. He pulled one of Draco’s arms around his shoulder, and then picked up his friend’s bag before the two of them pushed their way through the crowd toward the castle. They met no one in the entrance hall, and only a few Hufflepuff first years in the fourth floor corridor. It wasn’t until they reached the sixth floor, which housed the hospital wing, that they met a teacher.

“We heard what happened with Weasley,” Blaise said. Jonas grinned. “Jonas saw it first hand, didn’t you, mate?”

“Sure did. Didn’t even fight back, did you?” Jonas pushed Draco’s wand away from his throat, stepping towards him, taunting him. “Let the Weasel beat you, didn’t you?” Draco turned away and Jonas laughed. “You’re weak, Malfoy; a weak little blood-traitor.”

“I’d take being a blood traitor over a Death Eater any day, Scavo,” Draco replied. He walked away up the hall, Matt following closely behind him.

The audience was silent as Hermione climbed the stairs and stopped before Draco, who turned from the piano to face her. She looked into his eyes, almost as if she were searching for something. Whether or not she liked what she saw, Draco couldn’t tell.
