On January 21, 2000 a little girl born into a world that was healing from a tragedy that had occurred nine months before her birth. The wizarding world had lost their greatest hero.

A tall pale man with piercing gray eyes paced back and forth in a lavishly decorated sitting room. His eyes were filled with anger; he held a long wooden stick that he kept twirling between his fingers. A few short years ago many would have laughed at the thought of this man being the most feared wizard in all of England. An even taller younger man with nearly the same features walked in.

“And just where have you been,” snarled Lucius Malfoy.

The whole evening Hermione looked for flaws in Drew, any reason to quit seeing him. Hermione finally gave up when he hugged Alyssa bye and kissed Hermione on the cheek and said he hoped Hermione would let him see them again. He was practically a saint.

“I just have one question.” She whispered
“Anything.” He replied passionately.
She looked into his eyes, and with a small smile that said so much, “What took you so long?”

“Ginny…” Hermione pleaded. Then a look of realization came into Ginny’s brown eyes. Her face became frozen with shock and her body went rigid, “He came back for you?” she asked, her voice barely above a whisper.

“Baby, I couldn’t imagine my life without you. I’d lay down my life for you, for our girls. I love you, Hermione Jane Granger.”

She yanked out her wand and looked around. She saw a hooded death eater advancing on a little blonde girl; she was instantly reminded of Alyssa. Rage flooded her mind. She aimed her wand at him, he was instantly flung across the room and he was thrown against the wall. Hermione was sure he was dead.

Narcissa smiled at the young man, “My daughter in-law is going into labor, the contractions are twelve minutes apart.”

This year will be trying for you. You must remember to keep your heart pure. You’re a good person, do not let anyone deceive you. I’m going to give you the same advice I gave your father. You’re a Malfoy. You’re strong, beautiful, and powerful. You’re brave, cunning, and intelligent. You have what it takes to be the best, but remember to do what is right and do not let it go to your head. I love you.

He couldn’t breathe. In his dream all he saw was this little blonde boy and if he didn’t know any better he would have thought it was him when he was younger, but no this kid was different. His eyes were jaded, as his had never been. The boy seemed so much older than he was, while Draco was a spoiled little brat. This kids eyes shined with anger, intelligence, and a thirst for life.

Sarah gasped with horror. Her sister’s face was cut and bleeding furiously. Her knuckles were bruised as if she had out up a fight, as was her arms and legs. It looked as if they had beaten her till she could take no more and blacked out.

Hermione smiled at each of them in turn, and then she turned to the disgusting woman in front of her, she jabbed her wand into the woman’s throat, “Take us to him, Saunders!”

Draco’s eyes were cold and whirled with rage, Lucius stared into his son’s eyes, “You gonna kill me, son,” he croaked.
