Before Sirius could say anything else, James replied, “I already know what I’m doing after I leave Hogwarts.”

“Really? Selling your autobiography to the highest bidder maybe?” Lily teased lightly. She turned back to chopping the ginger roots for the potion.

“No. I’m going to be marrying you,” he stated confidently as Sirius patted him on the back.

“And Mr. Black. Do I even have to ask what you did?”

“It’s not my fault she’s desperate to date me.” He smirked, running a hand through his dark hair.

“I wouldn’t date you even if my life depended on it.” Samiya retorted. The nerve of him! Telling everyone that she wanted to date him! Samiya couldn’t deny that he was attractive, but why would she ever consider dating anyone as conceited as him?

“You have better have a good explanation for this, Potter.” Samiya glared, noticing the Marauder grinning at them with his wand in his right hand.

“You both should consider yourselves lucky being locked in a broom closet with me.” James grinned, winking suggestively at the two girls.

“You have got to be kidding me.” Cate sighed, rolling her eyes. She turned to open the door to leave but found that it wouldn’t budge. “If you do not open this door now, I won’t think twice about castrating you.”

“Oh, really? Then why is it that you've missed the snitch three times already? Once, it was right by your ear. Whatever it is that has you distracted needs to be fixed before the game, is that clear?”

“Yes, James,” she replied, her eyes unconsciously glancing towards the stands once more. Unfortunately for her, James turned around, quickly spotting his best friend. His frown immediately changed into a huge grin, as he then clearly knew what the problem was.

“Oh... so that's the problem,” he laughed. “You fancy Sirius.”

"Actually," he replied, taking the white flower from Samiya's hands and placing it behind her ear, "it's not that I'm a womanizer. I'm just searching for the right girl."

"And it took dating the half of Hogwarts to find her?" Samiya laughed.

"Yeah, I guess you could say that. Sometimes you discover that the right girl has been in front you all along," he replied looking towards Samiya.

"As far as I'm concerned, I have no brother. You've made your choice and I've made mine." Regulus, noticing the expression of hurt upon his brother's face continued, feeling braver. "You brought this upon yourself. Stay away from me or they'll be the ones who pay. There won't be a single person you love left when we finish them off one by one."

"Well, I was…um… kind of wondering," he began not even noticing he had lost Cate's attention as she read the letter, "ifyouwouldgototheballwithme." He rushed the last part out and let out the breath he had been holding. Unfortunately, Cate was distracted as she quickly skimmed through her letter. As she continued to read her face grew pale and angry tears welled up in her eyes. Peter, as well as the rest of the group, was now staring at her, concerned at her stunned and pained expression. Had someone in her family died?
