I smiled.  “You spoil that child too much.” I said.  “And not to mention you rub off on her.”
Remus laughed, the noise sounded soft in such a big place.  “In what way?” He asked.
“Today she said the word ‘superfluous’.  My, God, Remus, she’s eight!” I said. 

Lily’s lips moved as she started to say something, but no words came out.  My brow furrowed in confusion and annoyance.  I bent closer to her.  “What was that?” I asked.
