The first years crossed the lake in boats, and we saw the Marauders again.  I don’t exactly remember how, but I fell out of the boat at this point.  I remember climbing back up, dripping wet and shivering uncontrollably, with James and Sirius laughing and Remus looking at me with concern.  I guess it was then that I began to hate Potter and Black.  It was so not funny.

Alice was absolutely beaming at the sight of me, her round face glowing.  She patted the floor beside her and I sat down, smiling too.  Before I knew it, everyone was talking about anything and everything, and I felt like I had known everyone for years.
