Gregory Goyle knew he was Draco Malfoy's lackey, but he didn't understand the reasons behind it. He wondered why they even made fun of Harry Potter except for the obvious reasons. He really didn't care one way or the other at the beginning of his fourth year at Hogwarts. Then, Goyle meets a girl in Ravenclaw and he becomes rather infatuated with her and wants to know more.

Goyle finds himself becoming even more fascinated with Faith. He is surprised to discover who her friends are, but he still approaches her anyways. Then, Goyle has Charms with Faith and they practice the Summoning Charm which makes things very interesting.

Goyle and Faith work on their Astronomy project. Goyle meets Cho and Cedric and discovers they are Faith's friends. Somehow, Goyle ends up being invited to Hogsmeade to hang out in a group with Faith, Cho, and Cedric. He's not sure how he feels about it considering he really likes Faith and wants to take her.

Goyle wakes up the same way in the morning again. He has a slight confrontation with his so-called friend, Draco. After this, he heads down to the Great Hall to see Faith talking to some guy who is apparently friends with Cedric. This makes Goyle so jealous. In the end, Goyle finds out who actually hurt Faith and is responsible for putting her in the hospital wing.

Goyle finally goes to Madam Pomfrey about his reoccuring problem. He gets some answers but he sees Faith there. He wonders if something is wrong with her and he keeps pressing the subject so she flips out and runs away from him. Later that day, Cho comes to Goyle and reassures him that nothing is wrong.

Goyle and Faith finally go to Hogsmeade on their date. They go to Honeydukes and get some candy before going to Zonko's and goofing around with all the pranks and jokes there. Afterwards, Goyle and Faith run into her friends and Goyle figures it is the opportune time to get Faith a gift. Goyle overhears something one of her friends says when he leaves the shop and he's happy about what Faith says.

Goyle is really happy about finally being with Faith. On the other hand, he kind of misses his friends and sometimes wishes that Draco would act differently. Goyle talks to Faith and finds out that Cedric wants to talk to her in the courtyard. They go to do so and a big argument happens, leaving two people not friends anymore.

Two months pass and two people still aren't talking. It's time for the Yule Ball and some of the people feel like they're going with people they shouldn't be. In an attempt to get a certain person back, the other requests a song and things finally get back to the way they should be.

Everyone meets at the Diggory's to celebrate the rest of their Christmas day. They all eat Mrs. Diggory's food and have a good time. Afterwards, everyone talks for a while and then its time for bed. Amos Diggory insists on everyone staying so sleeping arrangements are made up. However, sleeping arrangements were always meant to be broken.

Faith goes to the Diggory's for Easter. They have the typical dinner and she hangs out with Cedric. They end up going swimming in a pond at his house, even though she complains it will be so cold. An accident happens while they go swimming and it leads to some unexpected stuff.

Faith is devastated and broken after the death of her friend. She is asked to speak at the funeral and does so. She wonders about what could have been and the things this person will no longer do anymore. The day after the funeral, everyone goes home because it is the end of their fourth year at Hogwarts.

Faith goes to Dumbledore's office to learn what she has done wrong. Instead, she finds out a huge secret that shocks her and only adds to her pain. She is also given a box by Dumbledore but he doesn't know what it is and was told to give it to her by the Ministry.

Goyle is starting to really get fed up with Faith's behavior. He even starts to notice this other girl who is actually in Slytherin. Later, Faith and Goyle have sort of a heated discussion after Goyle overhears that Faith has some sort of secret. Then, Faith heads to her detetion with Snape.

Faith finally opens up the wooden box and discovers some things. It only causes her more pain than before. Goyle is really upset and so him and Faith have a falling out of gigantic proportions.
