He held it out in the palm of his hand, and then watched with surprise as it rose up slowly into the air, and then spun around to throw its beautiful rainbow patterns everywhere in the room.
 
And happiness swelled inside Harry like a balloon.

Perhaps if it had been any other situation, and if Ron possessed a more terribly offensive sense of humor, he might have joked, “Well no, you definitely couldn’t ask Remus and Tonks as they’re dead.” But, even Ron wasn’t that tactless.

What he did say however was, “Well, I think an ugly promise like that isn’t worth keeping, mate. You ought to forget Andromeda and break it.”

 

“Must you go?” Ginny whispered in his ear.

“We’ll see each other,” Harry told her as he buried his face in her fiery hair.

“Not as much.” She pulled him closer, and he crushed her gently against him, so their embrace became more entwined, and their soft silhouette on the wall of her bedroom became one.
