Hermione is returning to Hogwarts without her two best friends

ok so obviously i don't own any of the characters but thank you to JK Rowling for creating a wonderful world for all of us to enjoy : )  This is my first FanFic (cough) and the first time I've ever actually posted anything I've written to be read by strangers.

“I want you Granger,” it was all he said, but it made her knees buckle. She couldn’t believe that Draco Malfoy, of all people, would have this effect on her. It was insane! It was suicide, it was... blissful.

Chapter 7 is a bit short and validation is taking a while so i combined 7 & 8 to get a bit more story out.  For those of you waiting for Harry and Ron to make an appearance, here it is : )  Well, kinda : )

“We lie and say we tried.” Ron’s voice was petulant and Harry rolled his eyes.
“Yes and then we’d be as bad as the Death Eaters.  Come on you prat it’s time to return to hell."

Loyalty, one more thing Hermione had brought into his life.  If he wasn't so hopelessly lost in her already, that surely would have finished him off.

Before anyone gets offended by Draco's view on American music, he's a pureblood prat what do you expect?  And I'm thinking I might have had a bit too much fun with this chapter.  It's long and covers a wide span of time.

There is some vulgarity in this chapter.  I mentioned in an a/n on a previous chapter that the story had run away from me, going in a direction I hadn't anticipated.  This was the chapter I was workiing on when I wrote that author's note ... Just a head's up : )
