Rule number one when dealing with boys like James and Sirius- never let them know they bug you.

At first it had seemed like rubbish. Just a bear bit of spare parchment. Not worth much. But one simple phrase I'd heard Sirius utter tons of times before, as a joke, made this map come to life.
