Prologue I close my eyes and open them again, but still, I see the same thing, down on Earth. I feel tears start to drip down my face and I hold back my sobs, as I'm sure James would be able to hear them, no matter where I am. I can't stop the tears though and I can't close my eyes either. The pond holds a picture from my nightmares. |

Chapter 1 I'd stopped pumping my legs at this point, so it came as a great shock to me when the swing suddenly flew into motion, nearly shaking me off of it. My legs were moving at a rapid speed, not of my own accord, and I was getting quite high and I was terrified that I was going to fall. I realized that I didn't actually want to be able to swing as high as Tuny could, not if it felt like my stomach was flying upwards half the time and not if I kept getting lifted a tiny bit off the swing everytime I went up. |

Chapter 2 It was the hottest day of the summer- the hottest day I could remember, although there had definitely been hotter days earlier in my life. There wasn't a single cloud in the sky and there wasn't a breeze-not at all. Tuny, then 11, had gone into town with her friends and one of their mums to go shopping. Dad was working, as usual, and mum was spending the day with her grown-up friends. She told me to go out and have fun with Sev, and I nodded fervently and then skipped off to put my wellingtons on. |
