All of the other students from my school were impressive looking—yes, very impressive and intimidating in appearance—but they were dimmer than the mocking slip of paper that sealed my fate so cruelly. They’d been selected to uphold the image of our school but everyone knew I was Karkaroff’s favorite, the one who was going to win this tournament. I was nothing more than Durmstrang’s mascot.
