Ch. # Chapter Title Word Count Reviews
1 Dueling Mothers

“This wedding is a mistake,” Lily said suddenly, still looking out the window.

“Excuse me?” Ginny asked, her temper flaring once again. “A mistake?”

The younger mother nodded. “That’s right.”

“Mum.” Ginny spun to face her mother. “Mum?”

“I don’t want you marrying that Potter boy.”

Ginny fell silent, utterly stunned by her mother’s words.

2 Conspiracy Theory

Ginny let out an aggravated groan as Hermione gazed at Remus and Luna, seeing their anxious expressions. She could no longer deny it. Something was definitely fishy about today. First, both mothers duel about the wedding and try to call it off and then things just start going rigid – the food and the cake, the dresses, and now the rings? It definitely was starting to sound like a conspiracy.

3 Saved By The Elf

There was a loud crack and the tiny house-elf appeared, dressed in an oversized t-shirt, two different coloured socks and about five tams over his pointy ears. Despite his awkward appearance, Dobby looked quite thrilled to be there. He grinned up at Harry and then smiled at everyone else.

4 At It Again

Ron stared at it before turning to face Hermione. “Why can’t you just let me help you?” he asked agitatedly.

“I don’t need your help!”

“But, Hermione, you’re -”

“What I
am, Ronald, is annoyed!” she shouted. “I am also perfectly capable of carrying the box myself!”

Ron watched as Hermione guided the floating box out of the doorway and disappeared out into the yard, yelling to let Ginny know she was coming.

5 One Word, Cho

Ginny’s eyes opened wide in disbelief and she spun around to face the gate. Sure enough, Cho Chang was standing there dressed in a red cocktail dress. She was talking to the priest’s assistant who had walked over to meet her at the gate. As if sensing the red-head’s gaze, Cho looked over at Ginny and formed a slight smirk. She waved sickeningly sweetly before walking towards the table, acting as though she had been invited.

6 Something Old

Empty-nest syndrome was only something she had heard about; something she thought wouldn’t affect her. But now that she was faced with that prospect, she was scared. Despite that fear, it still didn’t make what she had said or what she had done right. This was not her wedding to decide what happens. This was her daughter’s and as a mother, she should be proud, comforting and encouraging. She should be the person, if the only one, to be at Ginny’s side this day. And, Merlin’s beard, she was going to fulfill her duties as a mother.

7 Something New

“Scandal? You mean about Harry being with Cho?” Hermione asked nonchalantly, as though it was no big deal.

“You do know!” Ginny screamed. “The little cheater found it necessary to brag about what he did, did he?”

She sat up straight and, in a mock-Harry voice, said, “Look at me. I’m the great, big, Harry Potter and I shagged Cho Chang.” She returned to her normal voice and added, “Yeah, whoopee!”

Hermione bit back a giggle and instead just shook her head at Ginny

8 Something Borrowed

Ginny looked down at the rings. They were gold with perfectly cut diamonds inlayed throughout the bands. The bride’s ring had a triple-sized diamond elevated in the center and glistened when Ginny tipped it slightly to examine it better. The rings, which would have given any bride-to-be an elated feeling, only made the bulge in Ginny’s throat drop to her stomach.

9 Something Blue

Again, they all erupted into cheers. Fred and George began dancing and singing while the parents began hugging and exchanging words. Neville stood smiling but his eyes were focused on Luna, who was busy beaming at Harry and Ginny. Ron stared at Hermione who held his gaze for a few seconds and then turned to look at Harry and Ginny, as well, a small smile forming from seeing the happiness in her friend’s eyes.

10 After All Is Said And Done

Harry, already dressed in his white tuxedo, inhaled and exhaled deeply, over and over again, while he kept his eyes focused on one particular crack in a tile on Ron’s bedroom floor. He was trying desperately not to think too much about the looming wedding, or else a wave of nervousness and anxiety that he was not at all comfortable with would flood him. He tried to keep his mind on anything that might relax him – flying, Quidditch, playing with Teddy, Ginny’s smile, Ginny’s eyes, Ginny…

11 When I Said I Do

When I said I do, I meant that I will
‘Till the end of all time
Be faithful and true, devoted to you
That’s what I had in mind, when I said, ‘I do’.

The words of the song struck a chord in Harry’s heart. Although slightly premature, he knew that they were symbolic of the meaningful moment that was about to take place. He would take Ginny as his wife, be utterly faithful and devoted. She was definitely worth everything for those two little words.
