Time froze in that moment. I could swear I was in a movie. I could also swear she was glowing. I mean, was I the only one who noticed the halo of light surrounding that vision of unimaginable beauty in front of me? I couldn’t tell you. I couldn’t take my eyes off of her long enough to study anyone else’s reactions.

 
Over the next several months at Hogwarts, I maintained my disinterested façade and suffered in silence while Remus and Laramie paraded their love happily across the grounds. Unfortunately, the more I acted like I wasn’t madly in love with her, the more friendly and eager to confide in me she was.
