Why was I so scared of them when they were nothing but friendly?

When I muttered ‘Lapsus’ nothing happened. I did it again. Nothing. My mouth fell open in surprise. He wasn’t affected by the spell.

Looking around I saw that the other people falling didn’t fall like he did. Theo had fallen fast and deliberate, and everyone else looked shocked and fell rather slowly.

He had been faking.

“ Corinne’s is the coolest thought.” smirked Anna.

Corinne rolled her eyes. “ I have sonar.”
