5 Chapter Five: Welcome Back Students!

The heads of the school are charged with bringing the first years from the boats to the Great Hall and it is announced that on Halloween, there is to be a Masquerade Ball to which students must bring a student from an Opposite house to the ball.

6 Chapter Six: Let the Masquerade begin

Halloween is here and Hermione and Ginny have brought dates from Slytherin and have dramatically changed their appearances all for the sake of their Masquerade. While at the ball, Hermione dances with a handsome stranger but midnight approaches before she can learn his name.

She lifted her head and looked at me with tear-stained eyes. ‘You stood me up.’ She said quietly. ‘I couldn’t face you. You looked so beautiful, I didn’t deserve you. I still don’t deserve you. I never did and I don’t think I ever will after all I’ve done to you.’ I said just as quietly. 

 ‘You’re lying. You didn’t want to be seen with a….a….mudblood!’ she said before sobbing again. I didn’t know what to do.

 ‘Temper, Temper Miss Granger. I know how you feel about my son; we wouldn’t want anything to happen to him because you let your temper get the best of you.’ He said before sniffing the air around me. 

 ‘You know for a mudblood, you don’t smell dirty.’ He said. ‘And for a pureblood, you don’t look that clean.’ I said yanking my arm from his grasp.
